The graphic style draws from a variety of drawing techniques, ranging from pencil sketch to architectural drawing. It is also sometimes called a sketch or sketchwork due to its sharp, strong lines resembling pen drawings. However, an outline in a graphic style can also take on delicate forms, which are closer to the fineline technique or abstract brush strokes. Within this style, we can distinguish tattoos made exclusively with various shades of black with a blend of white, which are closer to the previously mentioned sketches. This type of tattoo is derived from geometric forms, because the correct proportions, despite the overall simplification of the form, play a very important role in the composition of the patterns. Projects referring to painting or drawing techniques give the artist more freedom and opportunities to work on the composition. Here, the tattooer does not necessarily have to stick to the almost mathematical principles of geometry for the composition to look good.
